Our garage sale went soo good, we made $600.00 not including more money we made posting stuff on craigslist. Thank God, this will pay for our washer/dryer that we need and hopefully a new mattress (which is LONG overdue).

We have a busy, busy 2 months ahead of us...

My wonderful mom's birthday is on Thursday, we're driving to Corona to have dinner with her! She's leaving for Spain on Saturday with my Grandma...lucky ducks. At least I got to go to Italy with them..which is where our familia is from.

My sister's birthday is also coming up...April 1st...her party is on the 5th. I cannot believe she will be 9 years old. Time sure flies.

April 11, 12, and 13..I will be in Vegas for my sister's cheer national competition!!! woo hoo!! I'm so excited to see her compete in the same Nationals that my team won 2nd on day and 1st the other day.

While I am in Vegas, John and his brothers will be moving our stuff into our new apartment. Our move-in date is April 12.....John is so sweet to be willing to move everything! I'm so lucky.

The next weekend after our move, is Lazareth Saturday..where our Niece and Nephew will be baptized...and we're the soon-to-be Godparents. We're incrediably blessed! :) There crosses we bought them are on their way!!

The weekend after that is PASCHA!!! Which is our Easter (Orthodox). We're so excited!!! It's seriously the best service ever.

Cannot wait for all our special events.....life is good!

Christmas dinner and more...

Last friday, John and I went to his works chrismas party at Bobby McGee's in Brea, CA....it was a lot of fun and pretty good food. I had a lot of fun getting to know the people he works with every day. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming!

Saturday, my close friend Dania (from work) and I passed out presents to the less fortunate. What a wonderful opportunity! Everytime I do volunteer work, I am more and more opened to why God put me on this earth and how I can spread His love to another. Nothing is better than giving to others.

Saturday afternoon, John and I drove to Corona to go to my mom's house for the annual "Friends/Family Christmas Dinner!" What a blast that was!!! GREAT FOOD, AND WONDERFUL COMPANY!

John and I are just having sooo much fun in the weeks leading up to christmas, our very first christmas married!!! ahh, God is good! We're so blessed!

John and I attended my work's christmas party on Saturday at Knott's Berry Farm Hotel. We had a lot of fun! Wish we had gone every other year! As you can barely see, the picture above is of me dancing the "salsa electric slide!" ha ha. I love dancing!

John and I attend his works christmas party on Friday, Dec 14th at Bobby Mcgee's in Brea. Should be fun...I've heard they have karaoke there!!! hee hee.

We also helped my mom and little sister pick out their christmas tree. Our first experience going to a real christmas tree farm! Lots of fun!

John left this morning for a business trip with work to Tucson, Arizona and he'll be gone until saturday! I'm so very happy for him that his work realizes what a great guy he is and what a dedicated worker he is. The only bad thing is.....I MISS HIM! This is the first time (since we've been married) that he's been away! ugh. Really looking forward to saturday morning when I get to see him again!

At least tonight I am going to dinner with my sister, Melissa...that should help! We always have a blast together :)

Tonight I finally did something that I have been wanting to do for years...I am sponsoring a 2 year old girl (Emannuelly) that lives in Brazil. I have always wanted to sponsor a child that needs help financially, etc. She is so cute! I get to write to her, and her family will write back until she is old enough to write back herself. I get pictures, school progress reports and health information. It's amazing how just a little bit of your own money and a little of your time goes a long way for such a less fortunate family. The organizaton (as I'm sure many will recognize from their famous tv commericals) has been around since the 1930's. So I have a lot of faith and trust in them and what they stand for.

If any of you have had thoughts of wanting to help a little child from another country have a better chance of surviving in such harsh conditions, check out: www.christianchildrenfund.org

It warms my heart to think that this little girl as well as the many other sponored children now have a better chance of having a healthier future :)

Sitting (or should I say laying) at home with the stomach flu for the second day in a row led me to thinking of illnesses and diseases. Go figure! October is breast cancer awareness month...my grandma was a breast cancer survivor and I usually run in the susan b. komen "race for the cure" every year in september in her memory. My mom is also a manager for a breast cancer center at a hospital, and with me working in hospitals for the last 6 years... as you can imagine...this particular disease is very near and dear to me. Ladies, be aware...check yourself, see your doctor annually, and know that there are many women in this world that are here to support you. Here's to hoping that someday we will find a cure for a disease that takes soo many women's lives each year.Looking forward to getting some relief soon from the stomach flu...ugh! Hope everyone is doing good! Happy Wednesday!!!

This past week has been such an incrediable blessing for me in so many ways. My sister-in-law, Alison gave birth to her little girl on wed (Oct 10th). She is soo beautiful, and has the most perfect little features! What a blessing Elizabeth Lee Juroe is to the family.

With such a great event happening, Alison wanted to make sure her older child (Christian..who is 2 years old) was not left out and felt like Elizabeth was an addition to the family instead of "taking his place." Alison even bought a toy trash truck so it could be a gift from Elizabeth to Christian...I thought that was such a great idea. Alison is such a great mom! John and I had the honor of taking care of Christian all weekend...on Saturday we took him to his daycare's field trip to the pumpkin patch. We rode on tracker rides, walked through corn mazes, and picked out a little pumpkin. We also took Christian to "Build-a-bear" where he picked out and made a puppy named "Spot." On Sunday, we took Christian to church and spent the afternoon with him. What a blessing to be able to take care of a child...to know that they trust you, rely on you, and love you. I had such a good weekend.

The highlight of the week though was that Alison asked John and I to be Christian's Godparents....all I can say is that I am blown away and feel so blessed and grateful. We love our little nephew sooo much. God has truly granted us a gift.

All in all, life is soo good right now. There are not enough words to express the feelings, just plain happiness.

Most newlyweds start talking about buying houses, having children, etc as goals in the coming years (which we have) but...but if you're married to someone like me, getting a puppy is high on the list of "things-to-do". I have owned a dog since I was born and have never really lived without one, so naturally moving away from my mom's house where our dog is has been extremely difficult for me. There is nothing (short of kids) that makes you feel more loved and needed than that cute waggy tail welcoming you home after a long day at work :)

Thank God, I am married to such a caring and understanding guy who really has showed support and love regarding this issue. Some may say, "it's only a dog!"....but if you own a dog, you understand where I am coming from. Which leads me to my point, John and I sat down tonight and really discussed eventually getting me a puppy. Our goal is to get one Christmas '2008.

We will be getting a mini golden-doodle, from the same breeder that my mom got our dog "Kai"...who is a male large golden doodle. For those of you who are not familiar with this fairly new breed..I have included pictures!!!

This weekend was wonderful, just went by a little too fast! On Saturday, John and I went to Disneyland which was soooo much fun...we both have premium passes now so if anyone ever wants to go, let us know! On Sunday, John worked and I had church..but later that day we finalized our guest list (save-the-date cards are going out soon). Making a guest list is so time-consuming and very difficult. You hate having to narrow it down but unfortunately we did have to. Children will no longer be invited =( Sorry guys! Only my little sister and our nieces and newphews will be there.

So, we're looking at about 200-220 people that will be attending our wedding!

I'm sooooo excited that the weekend has finally come! Tonight John and I are going to Circuit City and running a few errands and probably go see a movie or something. Tomorrow we go to DISNEYLAND, so excited because it's very rare that John gets a weekend day off :) And Sunday, I go to church and hopefully relax some! Oh, and somewhere in between all that....John and I have a lot to do for the wedding..I'll let you all know on Monday what we got accomplished.. haha.

John and I are going to Disneyland on Saturday...we're both so excited! My mom got us passes for christmas =) We haven't been in almost a year...Disneyland means a lot to John and I, not only because it's the "happiest place on earth"..but more importantly, Disneyland is where John and I had our first official date about 5 years ago! Disneyland is also the location that John asked me to marry him almost 4 years ago..in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle...my favorite princess! It was sooooo romantic!

Other than planning our wedding, John still works at Micro Center where he got promoted to the highest position...I am soo proud of him! I am still at the same job also (St Joseph Heritage Medical Group) as the auditor. I also attend Irvine Valley College Mon-Thurs after work. I am getting my AA in Early Childhood development. I love children!!!! =)

"Dad" showed us pictures of his family....it was really interesting. It's amazing what you can learn about your family! We also looked at pictures of Johnny and Josh (John's younger brother) when they were little....they're by far the two cutest little boys!!! And they're still 2 of the best men you'll ever find!!

Italy (Group E) is still in first place and for sure gonna go to the semi-finals!! What a strong team they're this year! This morning the game started at 7am (USA PST)..what a game! I hope they continue to win.....Italy is the bestest!
Too bad for USA they are in last place in Group E (same division as Italy). Better luck next year! haaha.

Just An update....last night John and I bought our guest sign-in book, our ring-bearers pillow our 2 flower girls baskets and our "save-the-date" cards to mail out early next year. I know we're doing things a little earlier than most...but John and I are hoping that a few months before our wedding everything will be done except finishing touches so we can both just sit-back and enjoy the excitement of our wedding drawing near.

Here is our wedding party....you will note that my side of the wedding party has a spot blank...there is a girl in mind that I am going to ask...I just wanna surprise her. I think she's going to have no idea and kinda be shocked that I want her as my bridesmaid...but she is sooo sweet and even though we're just getting to know eachother, she already knows stuff about me that most people don't....but we do have our past in common. Heeheee I love surprising people...if you are curious who it'll be...I will post another list with her included in a few weeks or so...so be lookin' for it!

Sunshine "Sunnie" Shasta Tart 1994-2004

On Sunday (Father's day, 18th) it will be 2 years since I had to put my dog, Sunshine to "sleep." I still miss her all the time. Most people would think this is crazy but I had her cremated so when I die, she could be buried with me. Her body (cremated) is in my room in a wooden box. This dog stuck right by me through various moves and through various illnesses especially when I became paralyzed from Guilian-Barre Syndrome....she stuck right by me. I will never forget the night before we had to put her to sleep (due to cancer) she stuck her head out of the incubator the vet had her in just to lick (kiss) me on my face...I believe it was a good-bye.
I would always sing this to her, especially when she got sick:
"You're my Sunshine, my only Sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. So, please don't take my Sunshine away"

Hi all....so today John and I bought my wedding dress and all the accessories!! I am sooo excited! So...here is a picture of one of the bridesmaids dresses that I like...but also to show everyone John and my wedding color...apple!!
John and I were also talking about stuff today and we want part of our theme to be red and white roses!! I absolutely love roses!
We are also starting to think of rehearsal dinner locations and things along those lines! It is very exciting to see it all come together since we've been engaged for 3 years!! It's really a dream come true. I am so lucky that I am not only the man of my dreams but also I am marrying my best friend!

Well....I went to David's Bridal yesterday and tried on the wedding dress I wanted and I fell in love. I didn't even need to try on anything else...I was like, "This is it!" John and I are going back in on Saturday to pay for everything...my two veils, my dress, slip, bra, tiara...EVERYTHING! I am soooo amazed how things are coming together! It is soo exciting! I bought my shoes yesterday which david's bridal will dye Ivory (the color of my wedding dress). I am so happy! I hope you all like!

Our Weekend

This past weekend was really nice! On Saturday John and I first went down to Laguna Beach for lunch (Johnny Rockets)...it was sooo yummy and the atmosphere is so fun down there! I love being down in south county especially because when I moved here from VA I lived in south county. I really miss it down there. After our lunch we went ring shopping and we ended up buying John's wedding ring! It's white gold...and I think it's pretty! John seemed to really like it as well. It fit him perfectly! Guess it is meant-to-be..haaha..I already knew that! After we got his ring we went to the Anaheim In-door swapmeet. Not really my cup of tea....i like the Orange County swapmeet more...which reminds me the fair is almost here! YAY! I slept over his house and most of the time watched him play poker....he's sooo good!!
On Sunday, I took some of my girls and my mom and we went wedding dress shopping. It was a little hectic and crazy and very time consuming. I didn't even get to try on a dress but we all had tons of fun and we all ate at chili's which is always super good! I do have an appointment on Wed (the 7th) at 4:30pm (David's Bridal) to try on dresses with my very own consultant...I already feel like a star! heehee. I am very, very excited! Some of my girls, Melly, Shelle, Meggers, hopefully Brie, my mom, maybe John's mom and my little sister are gonna go with me to take pictures and basically be my critics! haaha...I better get a two thumbs way up! j/k.
John bought us a wedding planner CD-rom that is so incredible. You can do anything on it! It's really helped my stress level! haahaa.
All-in-all Johnny and I are doing good just busy...but I guess that is to be expected in the lives of a bride and groom -to-be! heehee SOOOOO EXCITED!

Ok...this is one of the possibilities for my GIRLS to wear! I just absolutely love this style! I am thrilled with John and my color scheme that we picked for our wedding...it's so elegant! No matter what my girls wear though...they will look goregous!

haaha oh and by the way..side note...I wanted to say CONGRATS to my guy...heehe (John, of course) for winning second place today in a Texas Hold'em tournament..he won $2,300.00!!! What a man! hehe...I'm so proud of him!

Tonight I am going to the Angels Game against the Toronto Blue Jays. John and I got the tickets as a mothers day gift to his mom and his sister, Alison. I am soooo excited....especially because Alison's son is going and it'll be his first officially Angels game!!! Let the brainwashing begin...GO ANGELS!! Esp....Chone Figgins #9!!!
